Take this test!
You're brown, a credible, stable color that's reminiscent of fine wood, rich leather, and wistful melancholy. Most likely, you're a logical, practical person ruled more by your head than your heart. With your inquisitive mind and insatiable curiosity, you're probably a great problem solver. And you always gather all of the facts before coming to a timely, informed decision. Easily intrigued, you're constantly finding new ways to challenge your mind, whether it's by reading the newspaper, playing a trivia game, or composing a piece of music. Brown is an impartial, neutral color, which means you tend to see the difference between fact and opinion easily and are open to many points of view. Trustworthy and steady, you really are a brown at heart.

Pictures of Our Basement

This past summer our "little project" was finishing the basement. We had lived in Herriman for three years and the basement was basically an oversized storage area. We did a lot of the work ourselves and now that we have had it for 6 months, we don't know how we got along without the extra liveable space.

Here is one end of our family room. Notice Bryan's first ever rockwork on the fireplace. The fireplace is a hit! It warms up the basement quickly and is used every day to keep out the recent below freezing temperatures we've had.

Here is the other end of the family room. This is where we spend some of our extra hours working for Henry. It's a nice little workspace...and surfing space...and oh yeah, blogging space for us.

This is a bedroom that is currently the girls' playroom. Bryan and his brother Kevin installed some great closet systems in each of the two bedrooms. In this particular closet, there are tons of dress-ups and all of our board games...and if we are lucky, they are not all on the floor. It is a battle to keep this room clean, but at least it is just one room, not the whole house.

A bathroom would be important for the basement, so here it is. Bryan was still finishing it when we took the picture, so it's a bit messy, but you get the idea. Notice his first ever tiling job...not without a few explatives as he did the shower walls! I guess he'll just appreciate taking a shower even more now if he ever takes one in the basement.

Here's Bryan's dog house. I send him here whenever I'm mad at him. Actually, it's Gentry's play area...just her size. Her new kitchen is here (along with what seems like a grocery store of plastic food). Needless to say, this area is rarely spotless, either. Gentry loves playing here and Kali and Aidan don't mind either, especially if they get a free meal out of it from Gentry.
